Patrick Dixon's personal story: how he became one of the world's best known Futurists.
Dr. Patrick Dixon is often described as Europe’s leading Futurist. He has worked with over 400 of the world’s largest corporations, often sharing the platform with their CEOs at their most important global events, and has correctly identified major industry trends for over 30 years.
He has been ranked as one of the top 20 global business thinkers (Times Thinkers 50). Over 2 million people have heard Patrick’s speak at live physical and virtual events.
Patrick has global clients in every industry for example Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Intel, IBM, Bank of America, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, KLM / Air France, BP, GSK, Roche, ExxonMobil, General Motors, General Electric, Siemens, World Bank and many governments and public sector organisations.
Patrick is the author of 17 books (over 620,000 printed in 43 languages). Books include Futurewise, SustainAgility, The Genetic Revolution, Building a Better Business and The Future of Almost Everything, now in its second edition.
A cancer physician by first training, Patrick has also advised most of the world’s largest pharma companies as well as biotech and medtech corporations. He was Chairman Virttu Biologics Ltd, a Biotech startup prior to sale, and non-exec director of Allied Health Care, delivering over 10 million home care visits a year. He has also been a non-exec director of Mace Group Ltd, a global construction giant in 72 nations with over $2.6bn turnover.
As a serial entrepreneur, Patrick’s first startup was Medicom Ltd, delivering highly innovative IT solutions in health care, and Patrick also has many years of experience in IT consulting.
He has appeared on CNN, CNBC, Fox News, Sky News and ITV commenting on global events, science and health issues, and has had features in the Financial Times, Telegraph, Time and Wired magazine.
