Futurist Keynote Speaker: Posts, Slides, Videos - Innovation Keynote Speaker - invent your future

The pace of green tech innovation is astonishing - taking place right now in every multinational manufacturer, in every product area.  The fact is that every product that needs replacing as part of the normal pattern of life - fridge or washing machine for example, or a car - is being succeeded by models that only use a fraction of the power, were made with fewer resources than in the past.  Just through the process of normal replacements (every fridge in use today will be replaced in 20 years), our world is being retooled.

If we were to scale up just a few of the green tech innovations we already have, we would see a significant impact on global warming.  The pace of innovation is accelerating, driven largely by oil prices.  Tens of thousands of changes become economic sense when oil prices stay above $75 a barrel which they have done for quite a while. Whenever oil prices stay above $100 a barrel, the drive for change becomes a cost-saving stampede.

Video covers:The $40 trillion green tech revolution could transform the future of our planet, with innovations that will provide answers to global warming if rolled out on a large enough scale. Impact of technologies already available in energy industry, water conservation, carbon reduction, recycling, power transmission over long distances, alternative power generation, buildings management. Conference keynote speaker and Futurist Patrick Dixon - lecture for Suez Environmental global leadership team.
