Urbanisation is an unstoppable force with 300 million people expected to move from rural areas to cities in China (mainly coastal region) from 2009 to 2020, and 750 million Africans expected to be living in cities by the same date.  What about India? Expect massive urban migration to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Madras, Bangalore and expansion of slum dwellings in megacities. At the same time expect rapid infrastructure investment with new roads, power, water and electricity supplies – as these cities expand. Depopulation of rural areas.
